Genoskin at the MPS World Summit 2026

Enabling preclinical drug development with ex vivo human skin platforms

Genoskin was proud to participate in the MPS World Summit 2026, held in Washington, DC, one of the leading global events dedicated to advancing microphysiological systems (MPS) and human-relevant models for drug development. The summit brought together experts across bioengineering, pharmaceutical development, regulatory science, and translational research to discuss innovations in disease modeling, safety and efficacy assessment, and regulatory adoption of New Approach Methodologies (NAMs).

Throughout the meeting, Genoskin engaged with the global scientific community to highlight the value of ex vivo human skin platforms for generating longitudinal, immunocompetent data in preclinical research. Discussions focused on how native human tissue models can complement the broader MPS landscape by enabling more predictive assessment of immune responses, toxicity, and translational outcomes in drug development.

As momentum continues to grow around NAMs and human-relevant testing strategies, the event provided an important opportunity to exchange insights and explore collaborations centered on ethical, reproducible, and clinically relevant alternatives to traditional animal models.

Our scientific poster presentation

Longitudinal maintenance of human skin viability in HypoSkin®: A drug development platform for immunogenicity and toxicity assessment using advanced multi-omic profiling

At the conference, Genoskin presented data demonstrating the longitudinal maintenance and viability of human skin in the HypoSkin® platform, supporting its application for immunogenicity and toxicity assessment in drug development.

The poster highlighted how the platform enables characterization of immune and tissue responses over time using advanced multi-omic and spatial profiling approaches. The data further illustrated the ability of ex vivo human skin models to preserve native tissue architecture and immune competency, supporting more translationally relevant evaluation of drug-induced responses in a human-based system.
