Our standard NativeSkin® models are specifically designed for topical studies. Each model includes a white silicone ring securely attached to the skin biopsy, preventing lateral diffusion of topically applied products by covering the biopsy’s outer edge. For systemic treatments, we offer a smaller version of NativeSkin® without the silicone ring, providing flexibility for different research needs. The NativeSkin access® offer is designed to simplify the use of ex vivo human skin for your research
Upon ordering, you will receive your models in a specially designed, thermally insulated, and shock-resistant box, delivered by express airfreight for fast, reliable service.
Each box contains:
- Skin models: Individual biopsies placed in 6- or 12-well plates, complete with lids. Each biopsy is securely embedded in our proprietary matrix ensuring stability during transport.
- Culture medium: The exact volume of culture medium required to keep the biopsies alive for seven days is included—no need to order additional supplies!

How does NativeSkin access® work?
Order human skin models with confidence
When you order skin models from Genoskin, we source a suitable skin sample obtained with informed consent from the donor, fully complying with the Declaration of Helsinki and all other applicable regulations. Within 24 hours, we process the skin, produce your models, and ship them directly to your lab. Visit our e-shop to explore the full range of NativeSkin® models and other products. We offer two types of models: Regular and Custom.
Regular Models
Choose your preferred delivery week, and we’ll produce your models using our standard procedure from any available skin sample available to us that week.
Custom Models*
Personalize your order by selecting donor characteristics such as sex, age, and skin phototype. You can also request specific customizations, such as antibiotic-free medium.
*Please note that custom models depend on surgery schedules and sample quality. If we cannot find a donor that matches your criteria and our quality standards, we will reschedule the production.
